Hollie rated it really liked it Oct 21, The last or so ebook pages of the book where was the book really came into its own and was able to compete with Graham and Emma’s story. When he’s sentenced to community service at a Habitat for Humanity site as part of his punishment for a catastrophic drunk driving incident, he meets Dori, the volunteer assigned to “baby-sit” Reid while he fulfills his obligation.

I love that even when she is hurt by a guy, she is even more devastated by her troubled relationship with her best friend. From the beginning I was bored and everything which happened, it went so slowly. Yes, he was tzmmara egotistical, self-centered ass, but there was just something about him that drew me in.

And you know what? Reid Alexander is sarcastic, snarky, charming, gorgeous and shameless, but he’s also broken inside, running from the pain at weber he doesn’t know how to fix. I liked how he matures in this and learn things on his own way and from his maistakes. Jan 29, Patience B rated it it was amazing. View all 3 comments.

I think it was the narration that won me over in the end. Eliza Tammafa from Fury is the perfect example of this.

Between the Lines Series by Tammara Webber

Well let me tell you, I am so glad I did. Dori is everything read isn’t — a good, Christian girl with a selfless, do-good heart. Webber’s book Easy is one of the best I’ve read in the last few weeks and I was so excited to read something else by her, only to be really let down by this book.

Dori Cantrell is a genuine humanitari Reid Alexander’s tne life is an open book. But nonetheless, this last book to the Webberr The Lines Series is just utterly awesome. Note – I listened to this as an audiobook, and the dual narration is fantastic! I just love her. While she’s altruistic, she’s not a cardboard goody two shoes out to save Reid. And all that is true, but there’s so much more depth to her. I suddenly understand why people talk about book boyfriends So, if you’re in for a good reading and like to see how love can shape characters, then this is the book for you.

I am a webbet shocked that I ended wbeber liking this book at all in the end.

THIS is how you make a reader fall in love, think, and admire a character, all in one shot. This is a wonderful coming of age story, especially where Emma is concerned. I completely fell head over heels, completely and forever in love with him in the last several chapters of the story. The book would have felt fake otherwise. Dori is perfect for Reid Alexander. Every relationship, every error in judgment is analyzed by strangers.

Even while he was chasing Emma, he thought through his responses to her, why it mattered so much that she give in, whether he ought to tell her he loved her to seal the deal. Did the delusional romantic in me want him to be better? I’ve changed since I’ve known you. Oct 29, Rejane marked it as not-interested. I don’t want to include any spoilers, but Tammarq hope the twists with Graham and Brooke get explored more fully in book 2 which I own, and wfbber going to reward myself with after I finish all I need to get done; by the way, I’m being very productive, because the second book is excellent incentive ;!

Between the Lines Series

I got emotionally invested in Reid and Emma, so having Emma end up with a different guy and Reid not even meet his love interest until book 3 depresses me. Reid has no holds barred in his pursuit of Emma; he loves the thrill of the chase but he’s also experiencing something new. He fights for Dori until he gets her. This is hands down the best of the three in this series.

At first, I assumed this book was a self-published effort because of the price and expected to find all sorts of typos, rambling storylines, and plot holes. What Reid didn’t have before, though, was perspective. Once I finally picked it up,I just couldn’t put it down even though I have a major exam on Friday and need to study but I never do.

Adrianna santos rated it it was amazing Nov 18, This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. Betweej for telling us about the problem. Emma, the main girl, I didn’t really care for either, though she was probably the most likable out of all the characters.

It made me even love Reid!! It made me cry, a lot, it made me smile and laugh. I gotta say, I nevah saw that coming. There are some big shocks, and I have to say I was surprised at the amount of emotion in this story.

Thanks so much, Tammara, for creating such a richly imagined world, that has such creatures in it.

I really connected with both Reid and Emma. Watching Dori having to go through a yammara struggle which was heartbreaking to her, and not really having the resolution she wanted was interesting to watch. Aug 22, Abbi Glines rated it it was amazing.
