Um umitems rated it really liked it May 12, Just playing out the diagrams and following along with the commentary will show the reader the flow of each game, where the big decisions are being made, how things shksaku have gone differently, reasons for caution, etc.
His characteristic clarity makes playing good go seem much like other Truths, simple, pure and quite easy once illusion falls away.
In addition, there is a good discussion of the historical context, rivalries, and drama surrounding the games. In this way, the commentators are able to give precise examples of why certain moves are played and not others.
