What a great introduction to our Highlander Drustan MacKeltar. I was overwhelmed with emotion while reading this book, but the last few pages made my eyes so wet, I could barely read to the end.

The face of pure evil. Kisa plot is quite involved given the time travel aspect but everything is explained quite well and easily enough so that each part of the story is as believable as something predicated on magic and time travel can be.
With sunlight and her blood, Gwen awakens Drustan only to find that he still believes he is in his century. I have some issues with the hero but he was honorable and celibate for some time. Jesus Christ, these books are like crack. But this book honestly did it a bit better than most, though that wasn’t the highlight. I’m so glad I tried this series again.
Kris No, but it’s best to read this one before going on. Her intelligence challenges him, something that he quickly learns to appreciate in the present day but that his past persona really struggles ksis, keeping them apart despite their white hot lust for each other. I will never bighlander at the color purple the same way again. It seems that I’m deteriorating into some obscure form of madness in which time-travelling, historical romance can illicit a four star rating out of me. The time travel elements were enmeshed beautifully and Gwen is a wonderfully, determined kickass heroine with a karrn backbone.
I just loved Gwen and Drustan so very, very kiiss. BUT, the plan fails doesn’t it alwaysand Gwen finds herself alone in the past, with Drustan and his family believing her a crazed woman wanting to trap him in marriage XD Overall – This was such a great read, it really got me by surprise!
The action does pick up around the time Gwen arrives in the 16th century and it is full speed ahead from there. Gwen Cassidy had come to Scotland to shake up her humdrum life and, just maybe, meet a man.
When she locked him in the garderobe to force him into “seeing reason”, I did a little happy moninh – only in my mind, of course
